Personally I'd look around for some
Sand or Water if I saw a Burning Bush

.................This is a story of my life.................
.......Why did you tell me?.................
.................I'm going to leave a part out.................
....................Why didn't you ask?.................
.................Until the very end.................
........Why did you curse me?.................

Clarification:
I wouldn't stand around talking to It!
InBeTween
Every word out of her mouth was challenged
Mocked or countered, puffed, dismissed, simply lost or thrown away
Gentle defense a minimum requirement
She quickly wearied
Resigned to polite obligation
Way off in a high back corner of her mind she dreamed
Friendly demeanor, general encouragement, yet resisting
Holding the dream as an invisible ball in her hands
Until the inevitable end
And their quizzical fleeting goodbye
When she released the ball
Bird to wing, and for a moment
Time stood shrieking
Revealed
Had they remained
Prolonged the goodbye
The end would have been
Unchanged
Advice would have been forthcoming
Cloaked puffery, acid and pain
A distorted playback loop would have been set into motion
After the end however
They would have remained quizzical much longer
For you see
The invisible ball
That high dream held hostage
Tucked into that tiny tower corner
Would have had time to grow
Before she released it
I Hate that Part!
I have been trapped around certain people for days
Weeks
Months
Years
Decades
Knowing that a certain person
Didn't like me
Just didn't like me
Didn't like me from the moment they set eyes on me
Didn't like the idea of me even before I was ever seen
Didn't like hearing about me before I came
Didn't like hearing good things about me while I was there
Never trusted me
Never helped me
Never accepted help from me
Never believed anything about me that was good
Never changed the opinion they formed before I even knew they existed
Nothing I tried to do changed that
I found it oppressive

At The End of the Line
At the End of the Line
Looking back or sideways, up and down and sometimes even in my dreams
I see the (fill in the blanks) of my existence
Some of the (fill in the blanks) are wrapped up with Chinese red ribbon
And some of them are even more exotic than that
But most of them aren't
Most of them are just plain old, ordinary, everyday
Work-a-day, even-if-I'd-never-left-my-hometown-I'd-reconize-them-type (fill in the blanks)
Small-treats, family, commerce type (fill in the blanks)
At the end of the line there's music
It seems to me that there's always been music
So I'm glad there's music at least
At the end of the line
Underneath, over-top-of, mixed in with the music there're people too
I can see the people but they're fuzzy
Sometimes I can hear the people talking
Some good talking
Some bad talking
People talking people talk
At the end of the line
Mostly at the end of the line there's me
Alone
Me alone me
At the end of the line
Me and the (fill in the blanks) and the music and the fuzzy people
I don't know why?
Sometimes it hurts but...
There's comfort there
Me alone me, music, fuzzy people talking people talk
At the end of the line
